"IPPs and government are working together as a team to tackle prevailing energy sector issues. We would like to acknowledge and welcome the formation of Committee for Power Sector Audit, Circular Debt Resolution and Future Road map by the Ministry of Energy (Power Division) to address the long outstanding multiple issues of the sector.

At the same time, we would like to highlight that negative media coverage is tarnishing the image of the industry and hampering the enabling environment of mutual trust and cooperation between public and private sector. We disagree with the analysis provided by NEPRA in the senate committee and would like to ensure that we remain available to present our case at Senate Standing committee if invited."
